  • Reducing stigma through understanding

STI Center at https://thesticenter.com is an independent Thai-language hub for sexually transmitted infections. We write about HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia, HPV, herpes, hepatitis B, testing windows, PrEP, PEP, and what to do after a result so readers can understand their options, then visit a clinic or book when they are ready, without being shamed.

We are an editorial information service, not a hospital, not a clinic network, and not a government office. Nothing on this website replaces a medical examination or advice from a physician, nurse, or pharmacist. If you have just had a possible HIV exposure and need emergency PEP, go to a hospital emergency room within 72 hours and call the AIDS counseling hotline 1663. Do not wait for an email or for an article to finish loading.

Booking links on this site are doorways into a clinic’s own appointment system. They are not our clinics, not a diagnosis, and not a confirmation of queue, price, test panel, or medication. The booking sits on the provider’s system. You still need to read that clinic’s conditions, opening hours, and identity documents if they ask for them.

The editorial desk at info@thesticenter.com takes reports of disease names that are vague, incubation periods that are off, symptom lists that imply every infection clears on its own, broken links, or language that stigmatizes readers. Send a short subject line and the page URL if you have it. We are not a laboratory, we do not read strip photos, and we do not diagnose from symptoms described in a letter.

Topics are chosen from what people actually search — free HIV testing, whether an STI screen hurts, how to take PrEP, how many hours PEP still works — not from an advertiser’s order. We do not endorse a drug brand, a home test kit, or an individual lab result. Partner banners inside articles are labeled separately from editorial copy.

We do not open medical records on this website, we do not store treatment histories, and we do not ask for a national ID card or lab printout just to read an article. Medical decisions stay between you and the clinician you see in person.

If a page looks outdated, send the URL. We update when primary sources or clinic guidelines change. A page without a date should be read as an overview. Confirm medicines, appointments, and test panels with the clinic before you act.

The privacy policy, contact page, FAQ, knowledge hub, and articles live at https://thesticenter.com. The aim of STI Center is practical information, respect for the reader’s privacy, and a clear line: we are not a hospital and we do not pretend to be one.
